About Dr. Suarez
Dr. Omar F. Suarez D.M.D., M.A.G.D, M.A. presently is the Director of Orofacial Pain Services at NYU Langone Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
He is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey presently named Rutgers. At the same institution he completed a 2-Year Fellowship in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain.
Dr. Suarez is Board Certified with the American Academy of Orofacial pain and was awarded the distinction of Master in the American Academy of General Dentistry.
During his 30 Year Career he has served as a Clinician, Teacher, Administrator, and guest speaker at various national and international meetings, mainly in the content area of Temporomandibular Disorders, Orofacial Pain disorders and management, Xerostomia and the relationship of Orofacial conditions to systemic inflammatory diseases such as Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogrens Syndrome and sero-negative rheumatic conditions.
Dr. Suarez introduced a technique for the emergency care of Acute Closed locks of the TM Joint, called the assisted lateral reduction technique published in 2000, he has also co-authored several articles that have been published internationally.
